The Mountain Culture in Motion thematic programme brings music, dance and living traditions to the heart of Mountain Games Cyprus 2026, presenting culture as a living experience to be lived and shared. Over four days, acclaimed artists, musical ensembles, dancers and European delegations meet the communities of Troodos, older people, young people and visitors. The music and movement workshops are coordinated and curated by Dimitris Konstantinou, dance teacher and researcher of Cypriot traditional dance, in collaboration with Rymvos Dance School.

The cultural journey begins on Wednesday in Foini with the first of two Let’s Dance 4 activities, an adapted workshop in music, movement and traditional dance for older people. That same evening, following the Opening Ceremony and the International Symposium, the official Mountain Games Cyprus 2026 welcome dinner takes place in Platres.

Pines & Echoes – Mediterranean Welcome Dinner is dedicated to welcoming the community of Mountain Games Cyprus 2026 partner organisations and draws inspiration from the forest and the nostalgic atmosphere of the historic mountain resort. Places are limited, and attendance is by invitation only. The evening begins at Pines & Piano Bar at Pendeli Resort with an atmospheric performance by Nama Dama, combining contemporary sounds, vocals and electronic echoes. It then moves to the Ilios Restaurant, where the Pendeli Resort culinary team presents a light Mediterranean dinner, completing the experience of the partner organisations’ first gathering.

On Thursday, Let’s Dance 4 is repeated at the ‘I Solea’ Multipurpose Centre in Evrychou, while intercultural dance workshops take place from 14:00 to 18:00 at the ‘Giorgos Seferis’ Cultural Centre in Platres. Members of the partner delegations with experience in their countries’ traditional dances will teach them in an activity open to the public. At the same time, in cooperation with Rymvos Dance School, they will prepare the public Dance Encounter.

At 19:00 on Friday, Omodos Square becomes a large open-air stage for the Dance Encounter of the Mountain Games Cyprus 2026 partner community, featuring delegations from Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Türkiye and Czechia. Immediately afterwards, the musical ensemble ‘Epea Pteroenta’ continues the evening with popular and traditional songs, transforming the encounter into a lively celebration in the heart of the village.

At 14:30 on Saturday, the musical performance ‘Eis ton Aeran’ will begin in the courtyard of the Holy Cross Monastery in Omodos, presented by the thirty-member women’s a cappella Amalgamation Choir, conducted by Vasiliki Anastasiou. It is a distinctive musical experience that moves between whisper, polyphony, collective uplift and shared breath. Later that same day, the two-day celebration of Troodos agri-food products and gastronomic heritage concludes in Omodos Square with the Music Celebration ‘From the Fruits of the Earth... to the Sounds of the Aegean’, featuring the musical ensemble ENORA.

Mountain Games Cyprus 2026: A Celebration of Sport, Culture and Inclusion concludes at Pendeli Resort with the Mountain Games Closing Gala. Places are limited, and attendance is by invitation only. The evening features the creations of five distinguished chefs, select Troodos products and wines, and a musical journey by Gaba Project and Vasiliki Anastasiou.
