The Mountain Culture in Motion thematic programme brings music, dance and living traditions to the heart of Mountain Games Cyprus 2026, presenting culture as a living, shared experience. Over four days, distinguished artists, musical ensembles, dancers, and European delegations engage with the communities of Troodos, including older people, young people, and visitors. The music and movement workshops are curated by Dimitris Konstantinou, dance teacher and researcher of Cypriot traditional dance, in collaboration with Rymvos Dance School.

The cultural journey begins on Wednesday in Foini village with Let’s Dance 4, an adapted workshop in music, movement and traditional dance for older people. That evening, following the Opening Ceremony and the International Symposium, the official Mountain Games Cyprus 2026 welcome dinner takes place in Platres.

The Pines & Echoes evening is inspired by the forest and the nostalgic vibes of the historic mountain resort. It begins at the Pines & Piano Bar with an atmospheric performance by Nama Dama, combining contemporary sounds, voices and electronic echoes. The experience continues at the Ilios Restaurant with a light Mediterranean welcome dinner prepared by the Pendeli Resort culinary team.

On Thursday, Let’s Dance 4 is repeated in Evrychou, while representatives of the European delegations teach dances from their countries in Platres and, together with Rymvos Dance School, prepare the public Dance Encounter.

On Friday, Omodos Square becomes a large open-air stage. Traditional dances from the European countries participating in the programme meet Cypriot dances, and the public is invited to watch and take part. Immediately afterwards, the musical ensemble ‘Epea Pteroenta’ continues the evening with folk and traditional songs, transforming the encounter into a lively celebration in the heart of the village.

On Saturday, the thirty-member Amalgamation Choir presents the musical performance ‘Eis ton Aeran’ in the courtyard of the Holy Cross Monastery in Omodos, a distinctive a cappella experience that moves between whisper, polyphony, collective uplift, and shared breath. The four-day programme concludes at Pendeli Resort with the Mountain Games Closing Gala; five distinguished chefs, select Troodos products and wines, and a musical journey by Gaba Project and Vasiliki Anastasiou. The Mediterranean Welcome Dinner and the Closing Gala are by invitation only, while advance booking is required for the Amalgamation Choir performance.
