Mountain Games Cyprus 2026 is coordinated by MountMed Institute and supported by a dedicated team of MountMed staff, experts and programme collaborators. This section presents the people connected with MountMed who contribute to the coordination, programme development, communication and implementation of the event.
Stavros Kazamias
Executive Director, MountMed Institute
General coordination of Mountain Games Cyprus 2026 and communication with institutions, partners and stakeholders.
Stavros Kazamias is a community development specialist with extensive experience in mountain policy, regional development and community-led initiatives.
As Head of the Office of the Commissioner for Mountain Development under the Cyprus Presidency, he coordinated the National Strategy for the Development of the Mountain Communities of Troodos, which was approved by the Council of Ministers in 2019.
He specialises in establishing action groups and public-interest organisations, with a strong focus on community-led local development, particularly in mountain regions. He has more than a decade of experience in managing place-based development projects and over 15 years of experience as a consultant supporting the growth and sustainability of rural businesses.
Andreas Fylaktou

Andreas Fylaktou is a Cypriot actor and producer based in Limassol, professionally active since 2009. Recognising the limitations faced by unconventional storytelling within the Cypriot television industry, he founded Black Lemon TV, a platform dedicated to innovative contemporary storytelling.
He is known for his roles in films such as "A Night of Riots" (2022), "Antio, koproskyla!" (2023), and "Find Me Falling" (2024), among other film and television productions. He has also worked as a producer on independent film projects.
Executive Chef Evi Chioti
Gastronomy Programme Lead

Evi Chioti is an internationally recognised Executive Chef, sustainable gastronomy consultant, educator, and researcher. She is the first woman to receive the Gold Medal "Ambassador of Taste for Global Gastronomy."
Originally from Nicosia and based in Cyprus, she specialises in sustainable gastronomy, culinary heritage, and gastronomic diplomacy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Macedonia and a Master's degree in Cultural Policy and Development from the Open University of Cyprus, specialising in wine and gastronomy tourism. She is also a certified Sustainable Gastronomy Chef from ALMA – The International School of Italian Cuisine.
Her recipes have been featured in books, magazines, and television programmes. She has received the Gold Medal from Chefs Club Greece, and in 2024 was awarded Second Prize at the LIFE Climate Smart Chefs Awards for her recipe Colocasia Rose Delicacy.
Evi serves as the Founding President of Disciples Escoffier Cyprus and is an international judge for both the International Taste Institute (Brussels) and Worldchefs (WACS). She previously served as Vice President for Education and Publications at the Cyprus Chefs Association.
She is a professional member of the Académie Culinaire de France, Les Toques Françaises, the Organisation Mondiale de la Gastronomie, and WICCI Cyprus. She is also a member of the IGCAT Global Experts Network and serves on the expert committee responsible for the protection and evaluation of Cyprus PDO Halloumi cheese.
Throughout her career, she has represented Cyprus at numerous international culinary events and judging panels across France and Europe.
Dimitris Konstantinou

Dimitris Konstantinou is a dance instructor who has been teaching since 1988. He studied at the Agricultural School of Ioannina, specialising in Dairy Science and Food Technology.
He began his journey in dance as a dancer and instructor with the Cypriot Students’ Dance Group in Ioannina. In 1991, he founded Rymvos Dance School, where he continues to work to this day. In 1995, he became a member of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) in Latin and Standard dances.
In 1997, he founded the Rymvos Dance Group, a non-profit organisation, where he continues to serve as President and Dance Instructor. He has taught at the University of Cyprus Dance Group and created his first traditional dance ensemble. He has also served as a dance instructor for the Bank of Cyprus Dance Group, the Polystypos Diaspora Association, and the Chytroi Kyrenia Association.
He has served as President and Vice President of the Cyprus Federation of Social and Sports Dance, as well as a member of the Cyprus Sports Organisation.
From 2011 to 2013, he attended the Traditional Dance Teachers Training and Professional Development Programme organised by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Cyprus University of Technology.
He currently teaches at the Electricity Authority of Cyprus Dance Ensemble in Nicosia, the Dance Groups of the Athletic Union of Sia and Arediou (villages in the Nicosia district), and the Central Bank of Cyprus Dance Group.
Through his ensembles and groups, he participates in performances and festivals in Cyprus and abroad.
